Winter Collection Questions

Hi Sofia Wean,
 
Its me again, I'm keeping up with your blog, my favorite post is the one of the fashion show, looks amazing, and I also told my friends to check it out. I have a few questions, I would like you to answer for me if you have some free time, just basic ones :)
 

-Are shoulder pad dresses again in the fashion industry this fall/winter 2010? 

No but it depends on the person and their personality, if you have the right shoulder pad dress you could keep it up with everything

-What are fall's key colors?

Camel, Grey, Blue and Army. (black is become a classic one)

-Do you think high-waist jeans, shorts and skirts are still inn?

Yes and different leggings can be used under the shorts (graphic, blonds and grays- anything that creates a contrast)

-What was your fave thing about all this fall fashion shows you have seen(referring to trends), maybe something specific you liked the most?

The 70´s look in a updated version and I love the color camel.

- Is cheetah print inn? Ive seen it in Christian Louboutin and Juicy Couture.

Yes, all kinds of graphic print, tribal print are in and so even cheetah print.

I just read your advice it couldn't be better, thanks for all of the great ideas&tips. I agree with everything,thanks a lot for your help and time. I'm thinking about contrasting my dress with the shoes, its a fabulous idea of yours,and definitely using smokey-eyes for makeup.I agree with you,smokey-eyes are classical and timeless. Also thank you for all the tips about the short dresses tendency and shoes.I just have one little question.. Are shoulder pad dresses a do or a don't?? I was thinking about maybe considering that type of dress I just don't know if its a good idea. I'm tall and im not that curvy, but anyways thanks for the advice and the information :)

I agree that fashion is the same everywhere so I'm happy that I can help you right now at the other side of the world. ;0)

Regarding shoulder pad dress it was more trendy the last two seasons but everything today is about personality so if the shoulder pad shapes suits you very well it doesn't matter if it's trendy or not because if the dress suits you perfect then you look perfect. But it very important that you feel comfortable with what you wear otherwise it could be a disaster if you feel a but insecure for example with the dress. Then it's better to find something that is more classic and use a lot of accessories to shine it up.

Special Occassions

Hi Sofia, I´m from Vegas,Nevada and I´m having this BIG very special occasion and I wanted to get some help you know... just putting an outfit together,I would like to know what are the latest trends in short dresses, high heels and makeup. Maybe some ideas?? I´m young and I just want to have a fresh and elegant outfit for that special day. What do you think? please let me know what are your thoughts? :)

Thanks for your honesty!

Right now the latest trends for short dresses are that all the dresses should be very slim-fitted and also very short. If you have some curves I would like to recommend to find a dress that have draped details. Because it hide some of your curves if you don´t feel to show everything out of your body. Regarding trends on high-heels the latest trends is to put some stock in your shoes and also buy some statement shoes that is a totally contrast to your dress. If you don´t feel to have big huge statement shoes that everyone looks at instead of your personality then you should find some classic high-heels. I think that Donna Karen have some good high-heels for special occasion. Regarding make-up I would like to recommend smokey-eyes. Smokey eyes are very classic and timeless and I use it all the time and it still works. If you use smokey-eyes your lips should be as natural as possible otherwise it become to much make-up on you. I hope this was a good start to be fresh and elegant for your big day.
